Dimitrios holds a Bachelor of Theology, a Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University, a Master of Laws from the University of Queensland, concentrating on IP and IP related subjects and a doctorate awarded by the Queensland University of Technology in the area of patent entitlement.

Dimitrios answered a call to the Brisbane Bar in October 1998 where he is now in private practice predominantly in the field of intellectual property.

He is currently the author of the LexisNexis Butterworths publications entitled "Intellectual Property Trade Mark Rights Bulletin" and the "Copyright Bulletin", within the service authored by Professor James Lahore. Dimitrios has also authored for a number of years the "Patents and Related Rights Bulletin" in the same service.

In addition, he writes for other IP publications including the IP Bulletin and Hearsay, the Queensland Bar Association publication. He has lectured by invitation at the Queensland University of Technology to undergraduate and masters level students and at CLE programmes for the Queensland Law Society.

Dimitrios also circulates an intellectual property update entitled "Odyssey", to members of the legal profession nationally.
